In this course on Healing Trauma through Meditation, R.G. Shore takes students on a journey inward. Students will learn about trauma and how it is stored in the body, how to address this trauma and release it so you can live the life you want.
Addressing trauma is hard work. Trauma Recovery is not an overnight process, but a gradual journey toward transformation. Sometimes we get stuck, and we don’t know where to go! This is where visual meditation can play a critical role in unblocking the energies within us. These visual meditations can help us get down to the root of our wounds. Healing Trauma is about going inward, and not escaping what may be hard to sit with. This course leads us first into the acknowledging, then the noticing, then the observing, and finally the allowing. These are just some of the basic meditation techniques that can lead to Mindful Healing.

Students will also learn the spiritual tools, through meditation practices and techniques, to help guide the self inward, to a point in the body where students can begin to address their own inner wounds. Through the art of story-telling, embodiment, the power of the body to heal, energies in the body including Chakras and body scans, R.G. Shore creates an experience where students can begin to learn that we already have everything we need within us to heal our own trauma. These meditation techniques help people coping with trauma as well as PTSD.
It is important to learn about grounding techniques because these techniques help us to center ourselves first, which can lead to stress reduction. MBSR or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction leads to overall better health and well-being. These types of techniques, through Mind-Body-Connection, lead to Inner Healing which is the overall goal of this course. Along the way you’ll learn about self-compassion and being gentle with yourself. You will learn about resilience, healthy coping skills, and compassion.
