This lecture will give a general understanding of the history of the development of electric vehicles.

Researches show that in urban driving, one third to one half of the energy required to operate a vehicle is spent on braking. But by using regenerative braking, this kinetic energy can be converted into electrical energy. In this way, regenerative braking can save energy, which will increase economy of the vehicle.
