This Chair Yoga Series is an opportunity to learn tools that can provide the body with more mobility, flexibility, strength and space, all from a seated position. Research has shown that the most effective way to reduce pain and increase longevity is through movement.
This program begins with classes that focus on specific areas of the body to increase function, and help to improve fine motor skills and body awareness. The program combines the exercises learned throughout the series, with a full body approach. The series also includes guided self care massage.
All classes are taught at a meditative and mindful pace, with clear instruction and with lots of variations and modifications throughout. Chair Yoga will empower students to feel confident to make choices in their practice that truly serve their bodies. It is an excellent course for Yoga Teachers looking to teach Chair Yoga or incorporate Chair Yoga elements into their classes.

A healthy spine is vital for our longevity. This class will focus on the seven directions of movement for the spine: Flexion, Extension, Lateral Flexion (right & left), Rotation (right & left) and Axial Extension.

7JointsVideo lesson
The most effective way to reduce pain and improve mobility in the joints is through movement. This class will focus on the areas of the hands, hips, knees and feet to improve mobility and boost circulation.

9Upper BodyVideo lesson
This class will focus on creating space and length in the upper body to improve posture and body awareness. Specifically working on the areas of the neck, shoulders, upper back and side body.

10Lower BodyVideo lesson
In this class we will focus on improving stability and balance in the lower body, specifically working on the areas of the lower back, hips, legs, knees, ankles and feet.

12Head to Toe MobilityVideo lesson
This class will combine many of the exercises explored in the earlier classes. There will be a focus on boosting circulation, fluidity and lubrication to the major muscles and joints of the body. Starting at the crown of the head and working down to the tips of the toes.

13Full Body ConditioningVideo lesson
In this class, we will focus on lengthening and stretching the whole body to relieve tension and tightness and to create space in both body and mind. We will end the practice with a guided self-care massage.
