And if you want to estimate your answer, then adding only the leading digits will get you pretty close i.e will give you an approximation.
For most of you, if you are used to working from RIGHT TO LEFT on paper, it may seem unnatural to add and multiply from LEFT TO RIGHT. But with a little patience, practice and conscious effort, you will realise that it is the most natural and efficient way to do mental calculations.
