Introduction to Logo DesignOn this video you will be introduced to logo design. I'm going to take you by the hand and guide you through the process of logo design. Basic concepts such as the different possible appliances of the logo. We start with the base that a good design is crucial for successful branding. Also, you will get familiar with the interface I'll be using to show you the whole process.

ShapesShape is crucial when it comes to logo communication. Take a look at this mindmap and understand how the elemets interact and convey different messages with different shapes.

Colors
Same as in the shapes, colors communicate. Each color conveys a different emotion that can be related to the emotion or feeling the color is associated to.

The Project
On this course I will be creating a logo for a REAL company called CareerClaw.
A good logo always represents flawlessly the brand & it's message. It's a supporting element of communication that needs to keep it's simplicity but at the same time needs to be visually strong.

A Blank Canvas
Most people don't know how to start creating a logo. It's pretty easy, a blank canvas. On this video I'll show you thebasic settings you need to have in Corel Draw to create a logo.
Remember always to create in 72 dpi (dots per inch) in order to have a printable logo.

First Elements
Logos are made of elements. On this video you'll watch me add the first elements to our CareerClaw logo.

Combining the First elements.
On the previous video I showed you how to create the different elements that make up a good logo. On this video you'll see how the combination of those elements is what actually makes up a good logo

Repeating Elements & varying shapes
If you look around you'll see that many designs are just repetition of the same few elements. Repeating elements and doing only minor adjustments to them like rotation, transparency, flip and scale can create a varied logo.

Contours
All logos need to be held in a certain area, otherwise they're just floating around. on this video you'll learn how to frame or box the elements of the logos.

Representative Elements
There are some elements that have the role of communicating what the brand is. identifying this elements is easy. For example the claw in the CareerClaw logo is the element that relates to the brand and what it is (a claw that picks). On this video you'll learn how to create, add and include this element in your logo.
