Hello to everybody. I’m Thilak, and I design UI/UX. I’ll walk you through the entire process of learning and mastering the Figma app in this course. Figma is a cutting-edge and excellent tool for designing user interfaces. Everyone uses it, including small businesses, startups, Apple, Airbnb, Facebook, and many more.
Additionally, you will master the fundamentals of web design while working with me to create a fully functional, contemporary landing page.
People who are brand-new to UI/UX design, or let’s just say design in general, should take this course. Beginning with the most fundamental ideas, we shall gradually progress through the entire process.
The course begins with an explanation of the distinctions between UI and UX design. The Figma app will subsequently be covered in the Figma Academy section. After that, we’ll make a straightforward, low-fidelity wireframe to comprehend its purposes and advantages.
I’ll go over each of the key resources required to produce a fantastic User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX).

Creating components
〰️ Components are elements you can reuse across your designs. They speed up the design process and also make it easier to manage your designs. They allow you to make changes to a component in one place (the main component) and any changes will be reflected in the instances of that component i.e. the copies, wherever they have been used.
〰️ This means that you don’t have to go in and change every single button in every single screen manually if you decide that you actually prefer rounded borders instead of sharp ones (for example!). You can create components from any layers or objects you've designed. These could be a whole range of things like buttons, icons, layouts, and more.
〰️ These are two aspects to a component:
1. The main component that defines the properties of the component.
2. An instance, which is a copy of the component you can reuse in your designs. Instances are linked to the main component and receive any updates made to the component.
〰️ Lets create a main component button:
➡️ Add some text
➡️ Select the text and create a frame around it
➡️ Adjust the frame and text properties as you wish
➡️ Round those corners!
➡️ Right click and select ‘create component’ or select create component from the toolbar…OR use the keyboard shortcuts:
Mac: ⌥ Option + ⌘ Command + K
Windows: Ctrl + Alt + K
