59Grammar Lesson: Talking about TimeText lesson
In these lessons, we are seeing some references to what time it is. Telling time in Swedish is a bit different than in English, so let's take a look.
The most notable difference is that people use the 24-hour clock, whereas in English we use the am/pm system.
Here are some ways to tell time
klockan 14 (14.00): 14 o’clock. (2pm)
halv tio: 9:30 (literally it means "half ten")
fem över tio: 10:05 (literally it means "five past ten")
fem i tio: 9:55 (literally it means "five until ten")
We will see these phrases being used in future lessons :)
