Are you a Manager that wants to Lead, not just manage? Do you want to take your leadership to the next level?
Leadership for Managers will give you powerful and practical insights into the various dimensions of leadership: from Culture to Recruitment – from Strategy to Resilience.
Whether you’re a CEO or a Team Leader, you’ll discover how to inspire those around you with a powerful Vision and how to create an environment in which everyone strives to be and do their best.
You’ll learn not just how to get everyone behind the vision you want to achieve, but critically, how to deal with the challenges, obstacles and failures that you will inevitably meet if your goals are worthwhile.
Chris Pearse has started and run businesses in the UK and overseas. For the past 15 years he has coached, mentored and trained hundreds of CEOs, Directors and Senior Managers from many sectors: FTSE100, Government, Academia, Non-Profit, SMEs and Startups. He is a Forbes Contributor on Leadership and published The Broken CEO: How To Be The Leader You Always Wanted To Be in 2020. He is a Chartered Engineer.
A basic premise of the course is that good leaders are self-aware – you need to understand people before you can lead them, and you need to understand yourself before you can understand others. So the course devotes a section to exploring how your mind really works, how to keep it in shape and how to use it effectively.
The next section deals with using your self-knowledge to energise those around you – team and organisation – creating relationships that are positive, collaborative and that get things done.
This course challenges the accepted wisdom on a number of Leadership topics:
-
Delegation is frequently misunderstood and misapplied even at the highest levels
-
Uncertainty is a fact of life which should be embraced not fought
-
Leaders are there to serve and support their team – not the other way around
-
Boundaries are critical – saying No is as important as saying Yes
-
Disagreement is crucial to finding the best solution
-
Work gets easier when you focus on what you give, not what you get
-
Leaders are responsible for the environment, not their people
-
You can build a well-oiled machine out of robots, but not people
-
plus many more…
Applying the knowledge in this course will enable you to develop into a better, happier and more fulfilled leader of yourself, your team and your organisation.
