I use TPRS (total-physical-response and storytelling) as well as other CI-methods (comprehensible input). Therefore it’s just like watching fun and entertaining videos and playing games. Learning German will be something that happens naturally.
It’s important for me that German is fun with up-to-date and useful phrases. Therefore there aren’t any boring exersices where you need to fill out worksheets or memorize extremely formal sentences.
We focus on listening, comprehending and speaking, rather than reading, writing and grammar.
You will still ahve the chance to start reading and writing as we go along the course. It’s just not something I’m teaching.
In conclusion this course works for the whole family and even kids can follow (most) of the videos and lessons.

1Introduction to me and this courseVideo lesson
Is this course really the right fit for you? And am I the right teacher for you?
We'll answer those questions and find out what you'll learn in this course. In addition to this video:
I'm using technics like TPRS (total physical response and storytelling) and CI (somprehensible input), but not exclusively. Not every video is a story!
Please also note that TPRS is hard if you are an absolute beginner and have no vocabulary what so ever. Therefore I won't start with stories right away! The same goes for reading and writing. Please feel free to copy the written parts or to write out sentences if that's importent for you. But as my focus is on listening - understanding - speaking there aren't excersises where reading and/or writing is necessary.

5Großschreibung und Artikel - Capitalization and articlesVideo lesson
Case sensitivity is much more importent in German then it is in English.
We capitalize all nouns. There is also the pronoun "Sie" which is the formal version of you.
IN ADDITION TO THE VIDEO I want to say: We also capitalize at the beginning of each sentence.
In German we use 3 genders for nouns. The articles are "der" (masculin), "die" (feminin) and "das" (neutral)
IN ADDITION TO THE VIDEO I want to say: Plural nouns always use "die" as an article, no matter the gender in the singular form.

I'm aware that you won't get everything I'm saying and I know that you don't know all the words I'm using.
That's normal in TPRS.The key and goal is, to be able to follow the story. You're going to hear your vocabs again and again. You'll hear the same sentence structures again and again. Maybe you'll even listen to the story again and again, emembering more words each time you're listening. (And maybe even pick up a few new words on the way).
Those stories are also very good to come back to after a few months. You'll probably be able to understand a lot more and can follow a lot easier. That's the best way to make your prograss visible!
