Pivot Tables are inbuilt reporting tools in Excel. They are tools used to analyze data without using formulas. It's a drag and drop tool that helps you analyze and visualize your reports in seconds. This is one of the frequently used Excel tools in the business world today. This skill in your resume is enough to get you your dream job at the snap of your fingers.

Charts in Excel helps you create a great visualization for your dataset. It gives you a clearer picture of the values in your columns and rows. It also help you see the meaning behind the numbers and take informed decisions.

In this section, we introduced the current problem to be solved by Jane, a Business Manager. Let's see hoe she goes about it.

Here, we try to format the data we were given to build the dashboard. Watch me format the data set.

Jane needs to create 5 pivot charts to build the dashboard for her report. The first thing she does is to create the table before building the pivot chart.

The first chart we'll build is the Bar Chart. You'll learn how to do this in this video

You need the geographical location to build a map. The algorithm will identify the part of the world you are mapping, based on the data presented and build the map the country. In this example, we have United States data, so the algorithm gave us the US map.

We are going to build the doughnut chart here. Pay close attention to how this was done in this video.

The last chart we are creating is the water fall chart. You will learn how to build this from the data set using the pivot charts

This is where we bring all the charts we created earlier together and convert them into "one" interactive dashboard.

Here is the great deal where we make the dashboard interactive. We are going to add the slicers here to make the presentation a lot interesting, all happening on one single dashboard.

Finally, Jane can now copy the dashboard on her presentation and share with her audience.

The VLOOKUP function helps you find the relationships between different columns in Excel. It allows you to look up values from one column in a table (mostly from the right) and return its corresponding value in another table.

The IF statement helps you take decisions based on criteria. To use this statement, you need to set the parameter to test the condition and return one value.

In this section, you'll learn how to run the forecasting model in Excel and also differentiate between Linear and Seasonality Forecasting.

This model is known as the Simple Linear regression which is run with only one Independent variable to determine the best fit for the model.

This is the second model called the Multiple Regression Model. This is run with more than one Independent variable which os mostly used when the outcome is insufficient or cannot be determined as a best fit for the model, thereby requiring additional data.

Students will understand the definition of each line items used in Financial Analysis and when to use them

This will introduce the students to the line items and how they'll be set up in the model

Students will learn how to formate the various sections of the model to run the analysis appropriately.

Students will learn how to build the assumptions to run the forecast to analyze. These are the formulas you need to create to generate your numbers for analysis

You'll learn how to run the numbers in this section, forecasting and rolling them forward.

Students will be able to format the built financial model to look like a typical Accounting document in Excel.
